Chicken Parmigiana

Today for supper I made Chicken Parmigiana all homemade, and it was oh so yummy.  The whole family enjoyed and it is now a family favorite.  I found this recipe on the Food Network web page.
First thing I did was saute some onion and garlic in some olive oil.  When the onion was transparent I added 3 cans of diced tomato's. (One can had basil and oregano in it for spice)  I then took a potato masher and mashed the tomato's in the pan, to make it a little juicier.
I let this simmer to thicken a little.  Then on to the preparation of the chicken.

I placed the chicken in a zip lock bag and used my rolling pin to flatten it to 1/4" thick or so.
Next on to the eggs.  I dipped the pieces of chicken in the beaten egg, then in flour and last to some Italian flavored bread crumbs.
Fried them in pan until brown on both sides. I transferred half the tomato sauce mixture into a baking dish, placed the chicken in and then the last of the sauce.  Covered the top with lots of mozzarella cheese and baked until the cheese was melted and slightly brown.
Here it is.  As you can see, my husband was hungry after a hard day at work.  His plate was full and he ate it all.
