Christmas 2010

Christmas has come and gone again so fast this year.  I can't believe that it's almost 2011!  Anyways .......... I'd like to share some memory's from Christmas.  It was a great couple of days and wonderful to have the kids and my husband home a little more.

This was Owen's favorite gift, he played with it all morning and didn't even care to open any other gifts. A friend of mine gave me this tool bench, and I saved it for Christmas.  It was in such good condition!

Emily's favorite gifts were her pillow pet and DSi.  She didn't put her DSi down for several days and slept with it at her bedside.  Lol

I'M BACK!!

     It's been a long time since my last post. There has been so much going on in my life, both good and sad.  I now feel like maybe I can start to get things back together and spend more time with the family.
     I'm so glad I started getting ready for christmas back in November because it is coming so fast.  It's hard to believe that it is the middle of December already.  This week is set aside to  making some yummy christmas cookies with the kids.  I have also been getting some homemade christmas presents made.  My friend made a really cute wreath from christmas bulbs and she bought all the supplies from the dollar store! I decided to copy her idea and make a couple as well, one for my daughter's teacher and one for my mother in law.  I really like how they turned out.
     We have received the first real snow fall of the winter and it was a good one.  I always say, if it has to be cold then I want snow as well.  I do like to play in that white stuff!  I also really like the feeling of being "snowed in", unable to get out the driveway because of so much snow.  Everything looks so fresh and clean when it snows.
     So I will share some pictures with you of the snow and homemade wreaths.  Hope you enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So Thanksgiving is Monday Oct. 11th in Canada and we are currently in Orangeville Ontario at my cousins house.  We are heading to Kitchener on Sunday for the long awaited big turkey dinner!  Come to find out we are not having the turkey, mashed potatoes and all the fixin's but instead Nigerian turkey curry over rice (with pineapple, oranges, grated carrots and nuts).  Yuck, this doesn't sound like food I want to be thankful for!!  So we have a backup plan,  we are having someone bring left over turkey and fresh bread for some good turkey sandwiches.  On a serious note, I am very thankful that we can all be together for this holiday.  To all my Canadian friends and family, have a happy thanksgiving.

Awesome Christmas Shopping

So I walk into Meijer tonight looking for floral tape to help my climbing roses climb and chlorine for my pool,........ and look what I found!!!!!  I found two isles of clearance toys at Meijer.  I spent $69.96 grand total and saved $70.00.  I'm so excited can you tell?
